Parent Participation

Each family is asked to provide 25 hours of service to the school and many do this by helping with events and serving on various committees. Single parent homes are asked to provide 12 hours. It is because of these efforts that the school is able to keep tuition increases at a minimum while still providing quality programs and enrichments.

Below is a list of current and on-going needs and opportunities for service.  Please record your hours served on your Parent Participation Log, and have each notation signed by the staff or volunteer coordinator
within one week of the event's conclusion.  Once all 25 hours have been fulfilled, or by May 15th, 2015, please return this sheet to the Foothill Oaks Academy Office. Any hours accumulated after May 15th, 2015, will be credited to the following school year.

  • Attendance at a Parent Association meeting equals 1 Parent Participation hour. (check calendar for meeting dates)
  • SCRIP: Each family has an annual obligation to purchase $3000 worth of scrip, or annual buy-out for $300. We keep a popular variety of scrip on hand in the school office for purchase at any time.  Hundreds of other merchants are available on the Great Lakes Scrip List which can be viewed here. Scrip credit for this school year will be given for purchases made from June 1, 2016 to May 13, 2016.  Order and payment must be received in the office by 9:00am Wednesday morning for delivery by the end of the same week.   • SHOPAROO is a free mobile iOS and Android app that doesn't put limitations on what you buy. Shop at any store and save the receipt.  Take a screenshot of it with your smartphone and earn "Roo Points" for our school. Shoparoo makes a cash donation for every point earned!  It's THAT easy!
